Wiki: Bringing The World Together

This video explains what a Wiki is; in my opinion it is a very good video as it is easy to understand and you can relate to the examples given.

The world's largest Wiki is known as Wikipedia. In this Wiki, anyone is allowed to edit the content on the various pages. This can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. If anyone is allowed to edit the content, this may mean that the information on the Wikipedia Wiki may not be accurate. In contrast, if anyone is allowed to input new information, then we can all collaborate together to share our knowledge, thoughts and ideas on one convenient page. A Wiki is essentially created to allow a group of people to be able to work together and share information. On a larger scale, a Wiki can be used to share information with the world.
